The National Hardy Plant Society
Registered Charity No. 208080
The Hardy Plant Society was formed to foster interest in hardy herbaceous plants on the widest possible scale. It aims to give its members information about the wealth of both well and little known plants, and to ensure that all worthy plants remain in cultivation and have the widest possible distribution. Local area groups such as the Rutland Group promote these aims by organising regular meetings, events, garden visits and talks to which non-members are also welcome. To become a member of the Rutland Group, it is a pre-requisite that you are a member of the national HPS. There is no further subscription to join the Rutland Group. Admission to meetings is £2 for Group members and £3 for guests, to include light refreshments.
We meet usually on the second Tuesday of each month,
except from May to August inclusive,
at the Uppingham C of E School on Belgrave Road, Uppingham LE15 9RT.
7-00pm for 7-30pm.
Speakers will often bring plants for sale and there is usually a members' plant stall where members' plants are on sale with 50% of the purchase price going to club funds and 50% to the member.
